Student Activities
UMTA offers several statewide programs for students. The AIM and FAIM programs provide opportunities for students to measure their progress in areas such as theory, technique, performance, and sightreading while reaching their maximum potential. The Performance Evaluations, Concerto Competitions, and Performance Competitions focus on providing performance opportunities.
The Utah Music Teachers Association is affiliated with the Music Teachers National Association. As a benefit of this affiliation UMTA members have the opportunity to become nationally certified through MTNA. This process helps teachers assess and hone their skills and broaden their knowledge, formulate wise business practices, and increase their level of professionalism.
